7-6-16- Re-Visiting – Dr. Hildy®, Dr. Stephanie Seneff, Atty. Keith Landrum, MD: VACCINES – Past, Present, Future
Wednesday, February 18, 2015
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy takes on a topic that has received more than its fair share of attention in recent months: vaccinations.Dr. Hildy’s guests will be Attorney Keith Landrum, MD, whose main practice is representing Children who have been vaccination-injured, and returning guest Dr. Stephanie Seneff, Senior Research Scientist at the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
The concept of innoculation, or the administration of antigenic material (a vaccine) to stimulate an individual’s immune system to develop adaptive immunity to a pathogen, has been part of medical care for hundreds of years. In 16th century India or China, a vaccine created to fight smallpox was born. As medical understanding and technology grew, so did the ability to fight certain diseases, and smallpox has been eradicated from the Earth since 1977.
Despite the inherent health benefits, vaccinations have – in recent years – gained detractors, with people claiming that vaccinations such as that for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) can lead to an increased risk of autism in children. This issue has received a lot of press lately, as a measles outbreak in California has been traced back to a trip to Disneyland by likely unvaccinated children.
Mr. Landrum and Dr. Seneff will discuss the past, present, and future of vaccinations. With over three billion dollars in payouts to vaccine-injured plaintiffs, there is still much to be known of the vaccination industry. There is also discussion about whether or not it is good to be exposed to measles and other childhood diseases on purpose, so as to more naturally build a tolerance to these and other maladies as an adult.

Throughout history, one of the most pervasive myths has been that of the vampire. From the Mesopotamians, ancient Greeks, and Romans to our own modern-day movies and television, the concept of vampirism has existed for millennia. We all know the basic tenets of the vampire myth: undead creatures that stalk unsuspecting people by night, preying upon them to subsist off the blood of the living. But one of the main markers of modern nosferatu is that the basics of vampire lore can change with each story, and often that change ties into our own history.
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes film director Ben Berkowitz, for a discussion on vampires through cinema history, and how vampire lore has changed throughout the last century. ( BEN BERKOWITZ – BIO )
A writer/director based in Los Angeles, Ben Berkowitz directed the award-winning feature film Polish Bar
released by Cinetic Media in 2014 and currently available on iTunes, Amazon, and most Cable On Demand. Polish Bar stars Oscar nominee and Emmy winner Judd Hirsch, Richard Belzer, Vincent Piazza, Meat Loaf and James Badge Dale. Ben also recently acted in several projects including Chronic, the English language debut of multiple Cannes prize- winning writer/director Michel Franco, in which he co-starred with Tim Roth.
From the earliest appearance of a vampire in FW Murnau’s Nosferatu, to the modern television series of Vampire Diaries, True Blood, and The Strain, vampire lore has evolved greatly. In Nosferatu, Count Orlok is portrayed as a gruesome monster, played by Max Shreck, which later led to an urban legend that Shreck himself was a vampire. Nosferatu was also the first instance of vampires being affected by sunlight, something that has colored nearly all vampire lore since.

Now that we are living in the Information Age, we are learning at exponential rates. Our knowledge of what lies beyond our planet has grown rapidly. Just last week, NASA announced the discovery of hundreds of planets, something that even 10 years ago was solely theory. As we look beyond our own boundaries to learn more about our potential future, we are also looking inward to learn more about our past. Myths and legends, long part of our oral history, have been given historical context, sometimes exposing the truth behind some, and leaving others as a greater mystery. While some legends of the past seem too fantastical to be true, we are learning more every day and have to ask – what if they are indeed true?
This week on One Cell, One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guest, the delightful Rene Compton – creator of the children’s tutorials, “Computer Puppets” and the majical Gophette — presents her charming reading of ‘THE JEWELED DRAGONFLY’ – a mythical – fascinating tale — and returning guest, Film Producer Veronica Hendricks, for a discussion on the reality of our most fascinating myths and legends.
The Jeweled Dragonfly – Audio and Story by Rene Compton:
Some of the most pervasive myths are centered around cryptozoology, the study of creatures whose existence is still under debate due to lack of evidence. This includes living examples of creatures that are otherwise considered extinct, such as non-avian dinosaurs and animals whose existence lacks physical evidence but which appear in folklore, such as Bigfoot and chupacabras. Among these creatures are unicorns and dragons, both of which hold enormous significance in fiction, but have yet to authenticated as having existed on our planet.
However, recently dated a fossil of Elasmotherium sibiricum found in Kazakhstan has recently proven a “unicorn” was still alive 29,000 years ago. Thought to have been extinct for more than 350,000 years, this creature looked more like a rhinoceros than a horse, weighing about 9,000 pounds. It’s easy to see how through oral history, the legend of this quadroped could have changed from a large, rhinoceros-like creature, to that of the horse-with-a-horn that we are more familiar with now.
Join Dr. Hildy and her guests this week as they discuss the veracity of this and other ancient legends on One Cell One Light Radio!
What If Legends are True?
May 18, 2016, OCOLR – Dr. Hildy
What is a legend? A legend is defined as a traditional story sometimes popularly regarded as historical but unauthenticated by Webster’s Dictionary. Currently, we are living in a time when science is proving the historical findings of anthropologist to be true. It is a time when myth, legend and the scientific validation of natural history is being proven to be TRUE.

Now that the Vernal Equinox has awakened life from its winter slumber, with it comes the Easter holiday, the celebration in Christianity of the resurrection of Jesus Christ after his death. Jesus’ reappearance after his crucifixion is one of the most important events in Christian theology, so it is no surprise that this day is almost as widely celebrated as Christmas. Despite the pastel colors, baskets of gifts and candy, egg hunts and other secular traditions that surround the holiday, the religious aspect still reigns supreme. And though Easter doesn’t have nearly the soundtrack as Christmas, there are still a number of songs about Easter that aren’t “Peter Cottontail”.
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guest, Film Producer Veronica Hendricks, for a discussion of inspirational songs that tell of the coming of Jesus Christ. While there are an untold number of spiritual and gospel numbers on this subject, secular versions can be a little harder to find.
One of the first that comes to mind is “The Man Comes Around” by Johnny Cash. One of the last songs Cash wrote before his death, the song contains many numerous Biblical references, especially to the Book of Revelation. A spoken portion from Revelation 6:1–2 in the King James Version introduces the song: “And I heard, as it were, the noise of thunder, one of the four beasts saying,’Come and see.’ and I saw, and behold a white horse”. This portion of Scripture describes the coming of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, each heralded by one of the “four beasts” first mentioned in Revelation 4:6–9. The musical portion then begins with Cash reciting that a man will one day come to pass judgment. The chorus indicates that these events will be accompanied by trumpets, pipers, and “one hundred million angels singing”. The song also alludes to the Parable of the Ten Virgins from the Gospel of Matthew (25:1–13) with the lyrics “The virgins are all trimming their wicks,” a reference to the virgins’ preparation of the Second Coming of Christ.
Though Cash wrote and recorded this song towards the end of his life, there are many of his contemporaries in the 1950s and 1960s that also sang about this subject. Nat King Cole’s “Easter Sunday Morning” was written and recorded for his 1960 album Every Time I Feel the Spirit, an album recorded in his hometown of Chicago with a local church choir. Elvis Presley in 1971 recorded one of the thousands of versions of “Amazing Grace”, in the U.S. Library of Congress.

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, the revelers of our nation turn their collective attention to Ireland and each of their heritages transform to Irish for just one evening. Why? For most, it’s an excuse to eat, drink and be merry. However, the appeal of Ireland’s rich culture and traditions cannot be denied and just as the color green, four leaf clovers and Guinness have become symbols of the Emerald Isle, so has the luckiest of beings, the leprechaun. These fictional gold mongers have long endured as Ireland’s unofficial mascot, but few realize the history of these beings – and their reality.
This week on One Cell, One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes Christopher Valentine and Dr. Christian von Lahr of the Myst Of The Oracle Corporation to discuss their books The Magic of Gnomes and Leprechauns and Seeing and Sensing Gnomes. While to most people, gnomes, elves, fairies and leprechauns are the stuff of fiction, to Myst of the Oracle, they are very real and very much a part of our lives. MORE below the next slideshow>>>>

Dr. Hildy Welcomes
Dr. Don Huber, Emeritus Professor of Plant Pathology at Purdue University
Professor Huber received his commission as an Army officer in the active Reserve in 1957 after four years in the National Guard. Early in his military career he researched with a select group of scientists to study the impact of nuclear war with specific effects of fallout on agriculture and ways to recover from such an attack. Dr. Huber teaches courses on anti-crop bioterrorism and serves as a consultant on biological weapons of mass destruction and emerging diseases. He advises U.S. agencies on bioterrorism and biological warfare. He currently serves without pay as the American Phytopathological Society’s Coordinator for the USDA National Plant Disease Recovery System program and is an active member of the Threat Pathogens Committee.
His research over the past few decades has led him to become very outspoken against genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and genetically engineered (GE) foods and the use of Roundup in agriculture in general.
According to Dr. Huber, there are three facts that everyone needs to understand about GMOs: (a) despite what the media and so-called “experts” proclaim, there are NO peer-reviewed scientific papers establishing the safety of GMO crops, (b) epidemiological patterns show there’s an identical rise in over 30 human diseases correlated with our increased usage of glyphosate and the increased prevalence of genetically engineered proteins in our food, and (c) genetically engineered foods, as well as conventional crops that are heavily sprayed with glyphosate (the active ingredient in Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup), have lower nutrient density than organic foods.

LEGIONELLA Bacteria: The Cause of Legionellosis,
Legionnaires’ Disease and Pontiac Fever
(2:00-4:00pm Mountain; 3:00-5:00pm Central; 4:00-6:00pm Eastern)
This week on One Cell One Light Radio, returning guest Veronica Hendricks joins Dr. Hildy in the next in a series of discussions relating to the man-made disasters currently ongoing in our nation.
Our attention next turns to the potential danger of Legionnaires’ disease. Also known as legionellosis or Legion fever, Legionnaires’ disease is a form of atypical pneumonia caused by any type of Legionella bacteria. Legionnaires has a wide variety of symptoms: almost all with Legionnaires’ disease experience fever, while approximately half have cough with sputum, and 1/3 cough up blood or bloody sputum. Other symptoms include muscle aches, headache, tiredness, loss of appetite, loss of coordination, chest pain, or diarrhea and vomiting. Up to half of those with Legionnaires have gastrointestinal symptoms, and almost half have neurological symptoms, including confusion and impaired cognition.
Exposure to the Legionella bacteria is of great concern in stagnant water. At low levels of contamination, the chance of getting Legionnaires’ disease from a water source is very slight. The problem arises when high concentrations of the organism grow in water systems. Water heaters, cooling towers, and warm, stagnant water can provide ideal conditions for the growth of the organism.
