Dr. Hildy® Tribute to ………. ROSALIND PETERSON

Keynote Speaker at the United Nations 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference on Climate Change (New York on September 5-7, 2007.)

      ~ Rosalind Peterson ~

Today, we celebrate the life of our beloved friend, Rosalind Peterson (2-4-18).

A tireless warrior in the fight against injustices, Rosalind battled on many fronts to ensure we, and our planet, were not abused.  Through her ingrained sense of diligence, commitment, courage and caring, not only for those with no voice, but for colleagues and friends, we learned the true meaning of activism.

She founded California Skywatch in 2002, when she began researching atmospheric testing and weather modification programs. Rosalind was the California President and Co-Founder of the Agriculture Defense Coalition (ADC), an organization formed in 2006, to protect agriculture from the wide variety of those experimental weather modification and atmospheric testing programs as well as document the history and dangers of GMOs, pesticides and herbicides which she found are maiming and killing animal species and the bees and butterflies, fouling the soil and atmosphere, and are dangerous for human health.

But her work was not limited to the sky, as she reported on many other controversial programs including Navy Training  Range disasters which adversely affect sea mammals and ecological ocean balance and additionally upset the ecology in National Forests and Protected areas with electronic weapons’ testing;  possible adverse Social Security and Medicare modifications; EMF dangers, including Smart Meters. She was one of the first to warn about the dangers of irreversible damage from Fluoroquinolone Antibiotics – Her early research and activism were triggered by River/Stream/Drinking Water contamination in the NW.  **and much more

She researched, commented, networked, appeared on many shows and at protests, including attending local city/county/state/Navy Training Range meetings, filed comments on untold numbers of Government websites during comment periods for pending legislation – and collected up like-minded colleagues to do the same – Rosalind remained present and visible as she researched, saved and posted articles and study after study on her website – wrote critical overviews of current events and, by her own admission, posted only items which she could prove were factual.

Carol Von Strum dedicated a recently published book to:
“Rosalind Peterson, indefatigable fighter, who makes caring fun”

Many have asked the following question:  “Why doesn’t somebody do something about the issues facing us today?”  My parents always answered:  “All of us are somebody and we all need to take action and do something each day…each month…each year…in order to bring about change.” – (Comment:  And that she did!)

Most importantly to us, Rosalind was also a frequent guest and contributor to One Cell One Light Radio and a loyal and beloved friend. We will miss her greatly.

From Carol Von Strum:
Rosalind’s most recent (well, for the last ten years up until she died) battle was against the U.S. Navy’s turning our coasts into war games and weapons testing areas.  We worked together and almost alone for some years until the folks in Washington state woke up, and then we worked extensively with them. They are still going strong, fighting the use of our national forests for Navy testing and practice of electronic warfare.

The Dedication on Rosalind’s website.

The Agriculture Defense Coalition is dedicated to protecting agriculture, our water supplies, soil, trees, and pollinators from the use of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, and genetically engineered crops.  In addition, our weather is being artificially manipulated and changed through a wide variety of schemes and experiments.

When you visit the “CATEGORIES” section of this website you will find an alphabetical listing of topics, by section, that will help identify some of the experiments, schemes, and programs that are having a long-lasting impact on our environment and our future survival.  We can educate ourselves and others with regard to these issues and take fact-based action to educate others and change our direction.

This section provides an alphabetical listing of all the topics that are located on this website.

Agriculture Defense Coalition – ABOUT Rosalind Peterson

Welcome to the Contact Section of the Agriculture Defense Coalition Website and the California Skywatch Website.

Rosalind Peterson is California President and Co-Founder of the Agriculture Defense Coalition (ADC).  The ADC was formed in 2006, to protect agricultural from a wide variety of experimental weather and atmospheric testing programs.

Ms. Peterson also founded California Skywatch in 2002, when she began researching atmospheric testing and weather modification programs.  The two websites are separate entities but are linked together by issues listed alphabetically in the “Categories” section.  (The California Skywatch Website merged permanently with the ADC on January 15, 2011.)

Ms. Peterson was a Keynote Speaker at the 60th Annual DPI/NGO Conference on Climate Change (New York on September 5-7, 2007.) She spoke about agriculture and the negative impacts of experimental weather modification programs on tree and plant health, along with other important issues. Since then she has presented her United Nations Power Point Presentation to colleges, universities and interested groups. She has also been interviewed on numerous radio and television programs.  (Scroll to the bottom of this page to see a portion of her Keynote Presentation.)

In 1995, Rosalind, now retired, became a certified California United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Service Agency Agriculture Crop Loss Adjustor.  She worked in more than ten counties throughout California. Many crop losses throughout the State can be attributed to weather related causes.  She worked for five years for the Mendocino County Department of Agriculture as an Agriculture Technologist before being hired by the USDA Farm Service Agency in Mendocino County, California.

Rosalind has a BA degree from Sonoma State University in Environmental Studies & Planning (1991 ENSP), with emphasis on solar power, photosynthesis, agriculture, crop production, and the efficient use of energy in the future. Ms. Peterson has won several awards and recognition for her extensive efforts to protect drinking water supplies in Martinez, California, from toxic chemical contamination. She also writes articles on many subjects including protection of the environment from ongoing, unregulated, atmospheric geoengineering experiments and weather modification programs.

She was born and raised on a working farm in Mendocino County, located in Northern California, and from this early farm education feels that she has a working knowledge of agriculture, crop production, weather and other difficulties faced by the agricultural community.

HOUR 2 Audio:

With summer approaching, it’s not uncommon to often find things buzzing around your head. Most of the time, it’s harmless flies or mosquitos, trying to feed. But recently, there have been more things flying around. With the rise of remote controlled flying drones, there are more cameras than ever looking at us always. But while these are easily identifiable, flying insects are often not. Not only due to size, but also due to mutations and other factors that render them from their common forms to new species never seen before.

This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes her guest, private investigator Doug Campbell, for a discussion on the increase of drone technology and the decrease in their size.

With drones becoming increasingly prevalent, people are taking measures to protect themselves from their prying eyes. While the FAA has not taken steps to regulate these machines, nine states have taken measures to enact laws to regulate their use and illegal surveillance.

But what happens when the cameras become too small to see? Currently, there are cameras smaller than a penny that can take high-resolution photos. The military and other contractors are currently designing surveillance drones that resemble insects, not just in appearance, but also in size.

Not to mention there are also programs to determine if insects can be controlled by humans. North Carolina State University has begun researching ways to hijack the nervous system of moths in order to create remote-control “biobots,” with the intent that this could be an invaluable tool in emergency response. The idea would be to attach sensors to moths in order to create a flexible, aerial sensor network that can identify survivors or public health hazards in the wake of a disaster.

It doesn’t take scientist to do the math. Smaller and smaller cameras coupled with drones that resemble insects, or actual insect drones, equals increased surveillance and decreased privacy.  Maybe George Orwell was on to something.

Join Dr Hildy this week as she discusses insects and drones on One Cell One Light Radio!

Returning Special Guest: ROSALIND PETERSON –

~Rosalind Peterson~

~Rosalind Peterson~

In the summertime in Florida, there are three certainties: it will be humid, there will be a hurricane somewhere in the state, and there will be mosquitoes. Everywhere, mosquitos. While most prove harmless and leave you scratching your skin for a day or two, there are other dangers to mosquitoes as they can carry diseases such as West Nile and encephalitis. But as seemingly innocuous as most mosquitoes are, Florida is in danger of being consumed by something more sinister.

This week on One Cell, One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes returning guest Rosalind Peterson to discuss the Gallinipper mosquito. Approximately twenty times larger than a normal mosquito, the Gallinipper’s bite hurts and they have a taste for human blood – like a six-legged flying vampire.

Their name stems from the most likely apocryphal claim that if they nip you, they’ll get a gallon of your blood. While the image of a two inch long bug suddenly so swollen with blood that it weighs twelve pounds may seem humorous, these mosquitoes have been known to chase children and adults.

While the danger of the Gallinipper may seem real these descriptions, it is mostly harmless. Its bite hurts, but the bug only resides in low-lying areas prone to flooding – near a swamp or fields. These bugs also don’t carry human disease, so the only real concern is the animal’s painful bite should one land on you. However, due to its size, you will most likely notice it before it has a chance to bite.

The real danger, though, comes from the methods used to combat these flyingspraying - 3 menaces. For years, local governments in Florida and other areas would spray toxic pesticides in neighborhoods to prevent mosquitoes and other bugs from becoming a nuisance and spreading disease – ironically causing damage to some people’s nervous and other bodily systems. The question becomes at what point are returns on pest control diminishing when it comes to human health and safety?
