In this wintery economic climate, it is perhaps more important than ever to consider new ways of earning income. The traditional job and paycheck model will never go away, but with constant uncertainty of corporate downsizing and bankruptcy, the threat of unemployment is always lurking over our shoulders. It is in our own best interest to buck complacency and regain the spirit on which our country was founded: entrepreneurship.

This week on One Cell One Light Radio, Dr. Hildy welcomes, in the first hour, author
and entrepreneur, Sandra Lemire, whose new book E-Girls: Entrepreneurial Women comes from her personal experiences gained in starting nine businesses, including sole proprietorships, four corporations, and one limited liability company.

their life, and it is her goal to give them the advice they need to know as to where to start, how to dig deep to understand their goals, understand the potential earning power of their business ideas, how to change gears when things demand change, and how to avoid pitfalls.Sandra has been published in an interesting range of venues starting in 1982, specifically focused on raising Yorkshire Terriers and the Care of Toy Dogs. Four years of her research led to bacterial studies related to Dog Breeding and infertility as well as Zoonotic Diseases and she lectured for eight years in both the US and Canada regarding “Bacterial Safeguards”. Over subsequent years she expanded her knowledge and nurtured another passion that she was driven to follow – pursuing entrepreneurship.E-Girls focuses on the steps needed to start a business, including incorporating a team of experts that provide entrepreneurs with knowledge that they may not currently have to keep them from wasting time and money. The book presents some of the real core issues that will help or hinder them, such as understanding and controlling credit, estate planning, business ownership, structures of different businesses, how to find what they need, traveling tips, and so forth.
